Terms and Conditions
A legal notice
The explanations and information provided on this page are only general guidelines on how to draft your own Terms and Conditions documents. You should not rely on this article as legal advice or recommendations on what you should actually do, as we cannot know in advance the specific terms you wish to establish between your organization and the communities it serves. We recommend that you seek legal counsel to help you understand and assist in creating your own Terms and Conditions.
Terms and Conditions - the basics
That said, the Terms and Conditions ("T&Cs") are a set of legally binding terms defined by you, as the owner of this organization. The T&Cs establish the legal boundaries governing the activities of individuals who visit or participate in our initiatives. The T&Cs are intended to establish the legal relationship between visitors and you as the Foundation.
What to include in the Terms and Conditions document
In general terms, T&Cs often address these types of issues: who can participate in our activities; methods of donation; a statement that the Foundation may modify its programs in the future; the types of guarantees it offers to its donors; a reference to intellectual property or copyright issues, where relevant; the Foundation's right to suspend or cancel a member's participation; and much more.
